"How we got started" : The Women’s Center for SoulCARE began with Janie Seltzer’s vision to create a sacred, unhurried space where women could deepen their relationship with God and tend to their souls. Kathy first encountered SoulCARE not as a leader, but as a woman who was personally shaped by the experience. Through that journey, she was deeply impacted by the peace, presence, and care Janie cultivated. Over time, what began as personal transformation grew into a shared desire to help extend the same experience to other women. Today, as co-directors, Janie & Kathy lead the Women’s Center for SoulCARE together—honoring the original vision while gently expanding its reach through elegant retreats and thoughtfully guided experiences.

Kathy A. Souza is the co-director of the San Diego chapter of NACWE, and Co-Founder and Director of the Women’s Center for SoulCARE, where she partners with Janie Seltzer to create a sacred space for women to find peace, strength, and purpose in every season of life. A seasoned real estate professional, entrepreneur, and business strategist with over 21 years of experience, Kathy brings her passion for integrity, service, and alignment into everything she does. Whether guiding women through SoulCARE or supporting clients and colleagues in real estate and business, her heart is to help others grow in ways that honor both their vision and their values.
Janie Seltzer
Co-Director, Women's Center for SoulCARE
Janie Seltzer is the co-founder and director of the Women’s Center for SoulCARE and leads the San Diego chapter of NACWE, supporting Christian women entrepreneurs. Janie is also a speaker, Zig Ziglar International Spiritual Director, Ziglar Certified Coach & Trainer, and published author & poet. Janie is passionate about empowering women through faith-based mentoring, transformational retreats, and leadership programs helping them to live the rest of their lives as the best of their lives!
